Do You Support Budget Override?
On Feb. 27, the city held a Joint Meeting of the Program & Services and Finance Committees of the Board of Alderman on Newton Public School's (NPS') FY09 budget proposal. Superintendent Jeff Young gave a 30-minute talk about the three budgets: "allocation budget", "maintenance of effort" and the "override budget".
